Hi! I am Rebekah, a PhD candidate in Atmospheric Sciences. For my research, I am interested in using satellites observations to study rain and clouds. The water cycle has a big impact on society, especially rain. I originally got into science to “save the world,” although I think I have a ways to go. I found that being a scientist is way more exciting than I ever expected it to be; I’ve been able to travel across the world and meet interesting people for my work. As a result, I started this blog to share my experiences, some of my philosophy, and to potentially give advice to students, early-career scientists, and anyone else who is willing to read it. In my spare time, I enjoy playing european board games and teaching group fitness classes.
